Trojan Farmers Market

Every Wednesday morning, as the sun begins to peek between the clouds, local farmers and vendors set up their booths filled with a vibrant array of locally grown produce and carefully crafted, handmade products in USC’s McCarthy Quad. Tasty aromas fill the air as fresh ingredients sizzle on the hot stoves.

The Trojan Farmers Market is an open-air marketplace that brings fresh, locally sourced produce and goods to the bustling USC campus. The goal of the market is to support sustainable agriculture and farming practices. When you purchase from the market, you incorporate sustainable practices into your daily life here at USC. Everything here is brought from the farm straight to you!

Today, the Trojan Farmers Market hosts over 30 local vendors who offer a variety of locally grown produce, handmade products, and freshly made foods. Among the selection of seasonal produce, you can find fresh avocados, asparagus, strawberries, and butternut squash, to name a few. All produce is picked at its peak of ripeness. Vendors sell pre-packaged snacks such as glazed nuts, root vegetable chips, and all-natural granola. Some favorites among students include fresh strawberries, homemade hummus, pupusas, and fresh salsa.

The Trojan Farmers Market is committed to offering healthy foods to students, staff, faculty, and surrounding community members. Come experience the flavors of the Trojan Farmers Market for yourself!

The Trojan Farmers Market takes place most Wednesdays during the fall and spring semesters in McCarthy Quad from 11 AM until 3 PM. EBT is accepted at the market, please click here for more information.

Interested in becoming a vendor at the Trojan Farmers Market?

While we do introduce a few new vendors during the year, a broad review of applicants is done during the summer in preparation for the new school year.  At this time, our market is not considering any new “non-food” vendors (i.e. handcrafted items, clothing, etc.)    We have also reached our capacity for hot food vendors for 2018/2019.

If you would like to submit an application for consideration, please visit http://www.rawinspiration.org/applications.html.  Once you have completed the application, please email it to our partner at info@ccfm.com.
