Office Description:
The Annenberg Facilities Operations Office oversees the
facilities operations of the Annenberg School for Communication and
Journalism. We work closely with the University's Facilities Management
Services in order to remedy issues with HVAC, Locks, Paint, and Custodial
services. Our department also coordinates technology support to faculty,
staff and students by working with our computer and audiovisual technicians
for both office and classroom issues.
Challenges and Successes:
Some of the challenges we faced revolved around
getting people on board with going green. Some felt it would be too
expensive and time consuming. It was a delight to discover that green
products were only slightly more expensive and that they were readily
accessible. We have been very successful with attaining Platinum status due
to the willingness of the University to assist us.
